The facilities are fine, but the Rent Cafe app is garbage. It doesn't work, and they charge you fines for not having insurance—even... if you actually do have coverage. It forces you to pay for their own insurance and demands proof if you use a different provider, but the website won't let you upload that proof; consequently, you are essentially forced to let them steal a $22 fine from you every single month.Read More about This app is trash

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this needs to be said about Excelsior Tower. The management seriously needs to step in... and see what’s going on here because the staff is completely out of control—rude, dismissive, and disrespectful for no reason. It feels like they don’t care about residents at all, and basic requests either get ignored or dragged out forever. When you try to follow up, you’re treated like you’re the problem. The owner or whoever is in charge needs to come check this place in person, because what’s happening here is unacceptable. This building is poorly managed, stressful to live in, and not worth the money. I would like to get in contact with the cooperate, it's so unacceptable that I'm going on my second month payment, and bare... minimum is being done, everything that said would be done the moment I got the lease still hasn't been done, workers barely even try to make an effort, the place has so much work to be done, I can't believe this is how they give out apartments, everything is rusted everything is used and not working, paint work is sloppy, dishwasher doesn't drain, stove doesn't work properly, refrigerator doesn't have the hose connected, rotten floorboards, etc....Read More about Maintenance and workers

I've been living here for about a month. In that time, I have seen over 50 cockroaches and a mouse in my kitchen. My apartment... smells forever like bugspray and they still won't go away despite pest control being here once a week. My car has been towed twice because of the poor explanation and organization by the leasing office. There is no 24 hr receptionist, so mail and packages are always being denied. The call box doesn't work, so no one can tell if guests are here; you have to go down EVERY time. There are accessible parking spots for residents, but there are no ramps from those parking spots. When you complain, the staff will literally laugh at you. They are just overall rude. It is not a comfortable place whatsoever. I am not just listing all the bad stuff; it's just that that's all there is. People are mean, and the building is not well-maintained. I doubt it is even livable. The fire alarm rings, and people are so used to it being "tested" that no one even evacuates. It looks alright when you first visit, but reality hits HARD. Horrible place to live. Roaches and mice all over. They don’t fix anything right a way things stay broke. They are money... hungry. I am extremely disappointed with the management and living conditions at this apartment complex. The office staff are not... professional, not helpful, and often speak very rudely to residents. Instead of listening to concerns, they say they “don’t care” and make residents feel ignored and disrespected.
There are serious maintenance and cleanliness issues. Whenever there is water leakage in the building, cockroaches start appearing in many apartments. In the parking garage, there are mice, excessive trash, and very poor sanitation. Management does nothing to properly address these problems.
During winter, snow is not removed from the parking areas. This makes parking unsafe and stressful, yet the office still threatens towing. In some situations, parking was locked, there were no available spaces, and still they refused to help or show understanding. Other apartment communities manage these situations much better — here, they simply do not care.
Another major issue is the strong smell of marijuana every night throughout the building. The odor is constant and very disturbing. On top of that, there is loud noise from residents late at night almost every night. It is extremely difficult to sleep, and management does nothing to control the situation.
Overall, this apartment complex shows no respect for residents’ health, safety, or comfort. Poor management, unsanitary conditions, noise, bad smells, and rude office staff make this a very unpleasant place to live. Worst apartment ever; we moved and will never return to this apartment: 1- Security personal named Victor is extremely unappropriate;... he was saying unwelcome comments to my wife while she picking up the mail 2- Victor was going to my apartment while I wasn’t there to deliver a package while she didn’t open the door but he took her number from the apartment building data base and kept calling her and leave a voicemail and asking her to stop by his desk. This is not my first time renting apartment, I have been renting a few places. However, Lerner excelsior customer service... is outstanding. Denis was the one follow up my application. She is very professional and helpful. Since the first day I went for tour, she explained everything in detail. She offered me jetty deposit, and it work. I lived at Lerner's 32 years ago and came back and lived at 5800 Quintrell #901 studio for three years , even though I am... satisfied with most of the things but i have to put up with rats and roaches , substance smoker youngsters at the back of the Lobby every Saturday evening , unprofessional package pick up system , which is a mess, i understand the plumbing work and dust while I am working from home for months , then life moved me a head and I purchased home and had to move out earlier than my lease was expired , but now, i am punished harshly for that , by charging me carpet and oven stain , this is expected when you live on tiny Studio for three years , I am a very clean person who vacuumed every day , I cleaned very well before i return the key , was i suppose to return with new carpet and Stove? i have been in this apartment for 8 years, when i moved to this apartment every thing was ok the price was fair now everything... thing has changed, the past 2 years everything is getting worse, i really regret that i signed for 15 months, poor maintenance, never showed up on time, cockroach are all over the house and mouse’s , i requested carpet change after 8 years but they can’t do that also, imagine right now.
